This is how it all
started with me. I grew up in Dallas, at about the age of 17 I
wanted to model. I started out doing hardbody calendars and lots
of bikini contests, it was quick easy money. At the age of 19 I
was in Hawaii on vacation and thought I would enter a couple of
bikini contests. Lucky for me a playboy scout was there and
liked my look and told me I should try out for Playboy. Of
course I was shocked that he liked me. He lived in Canada and we
didn't have time to shoot before I left so we exchanged phone
numbers. I came to find out he was Ken Honey who founded Dorothy
Stratten, Kimberly Conrad and many more. I struck gold! I got
back home and sent him some sexy pictures I had taken and he
loved them. He immediately sent them to Marilyn Gabrowski, she
decided to fly me out to L.A to test. I was so excited I was
going to Hollywood. I shot with Arny Freytag, the pictures came
out great but, now I had to wait to see if I was approved. About
two weeks later I got the call, they wanted to fly me out again
to shoot the centerfold. Back to Hollywood I went, the shoot
went great but again I had to wait for the phone call. Another
few weeks went by and I got the call to find out I was approved,
yeah!!!!!!
I flew back out for another two weeks, did my layout, my video
and everything else that comes with being a centerfold. I found
out I was March 95. I had the best year! I worked very hard
because like every girl I wanted Playmate of the year. The time
was getting closer for them to choose. I was having dreams that
they would call and tell me I won. The dream came true. I drove
out to L.A. in December of '95, I immediately started shooting
with Stephen Wayda, he's wonderful. I loved my layout! So from
March 95 to Playmate of the year 96, wow! How my life changed
from the good old dallas days. I traveled like crazy that year,
then I took some time off. I've been in a couple of movies and
shot my own calendar. I just recently shot a Smash Mouth video,
the song is "Then the morning comes", look for it on MTV or VH1. |
